About the Position

• Prepare, set up, and maintain all equipment and supplies for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures such as:

  1. Diagnostic catheterizations (adult)

  2. Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)

  3. Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)

  4. Left and Right heart catheterizations

  5. Cardiac stent placement

  6. Cardiac implant closure devices

  7. IABP placement/removal

  8. Rotablader atherectomy procedures

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.

• Maintain sterile field and adhere to strict infection control and sterile technique standards.

• Function as room circulator and scrub assistant as needed.

• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and emergent situations.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required

• ACLS Certification

• BLS Certification

• ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS Certification

• ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, CCI RCIS Certifications Preferred 

• Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures

• Equipment setup and sterile field maintenance

• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

• Room circulation and scrub duties

• Any Charting System (required)
