Cyber Security Engineer

Salary: $103,000 - 143,000 per year Requirements:

• We prefer at least three years of relevant experience in the technology field.
• We recommend education or training from an accredited university, college, or trade school in a related discipline.
• Advanced degrees or professional certifications, such as CISSP, are a plus.
• We require completion of continuing education to stay current with the evolving security environment.

• We design, implement, and maintain security systems and services that help prevent malicious activity.
• We act as an escalation point for first-level engineers.
• We develop and deliver projects and services that strengthen our security offerings and strategies.
• We handle internal and external client requests, including firewall modifications, DNS setup changes, SSL certificate renewals or purchases, and secure configuration of hosted sites and services.
• We install and configure firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, and agents according to industry standards and best practices to protect customer data.
• We work proactively with Cybersecurity Analysts to reduce and mitigate threats.
• We carry out recurring vulnerability remediation by upgrading device software or adjusting configurations.
• We participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
• We perform additional duties as assigned.
