Working inside the facility, the Internal Ambassador ensures a welcoming, professional, and safe atmosphere by guiding individuals to their destinations, assisting with general inquiries, and providing non-clinical support to enhance the patient experience. Under the supervision of the MHS Team Lead or Manager, the Internal Ambassador plays a key role in improving customer satisfaction and operational flow within the hospital.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients, visitors, and hospital staff in a courteous and professional mannerProvide directions and escort patients and visitors to appointments, departments, or waiting areasRespond to general inquiries and resolve concerns or redirect appropriatelyCoordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure smooth communication and supportMonitor high-traffic areas to ensure a welcoming and organized environmentSupport patient discharge by coordinating transportation or providing wheelchair assistance if trainedMaintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsMaintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance in all assigned areasCommunicate clearly with the MHS Team Lead or Manager regarding any incidents, delays, or unusual activityPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED6+ months of experience in a customer-facing or healthcare-related role preferredMust be able to work legally in the United StatesMust pass background and drug screeningsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in a busy hospital environmentPassion for helping others and delivering excellent customer serviceRequired to meet immunization or health screening requirementsPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hearMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionallyMust be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distancesAbility to work flexible schedules and extended hours as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
