(Seeking mainly evenings and weekend availability) We are an elite swim academy that provides high quality swim instruction to our community that builds confidence and develops life saving safety skills in a student-centered environment. We are committed to training our staff to be the best swim instructors in the Fox Valley, giving them the tools they need to be successful. Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children under the age of 4 years old. Our mission is to eliminate drownings in our community through educating our swimmers and parents alike.

As a swim instructor you are responsible for the safety of each class and teaching swim skills to students using our curriculum. Each of our staff is cross trained to also fill our Float/Lifeguard positions which work together to prevent dangers in and around the water at our facility. You will work to build water confidence within your students, encouraging each student to rise to the best of their abilities. You can expect to be regularly communicating with students and fellow staff members in an effort to learn as much as you can. You should be someone with a growth mindset looking to develop your leadership skills and make an impact on your community. As a swim instructor you will report to the Staff Manager and Instructional Manager for assistance and direction with swim instruction, safety, and scheduling. There are opportunities for growth within the organization if desired! We have a fun and rewarding work environment with a great atmosphere for someone who loves teaching and being around water. We offer paid training.

This is a part-time position that requires afternoon/evening and weekend shifts. Responsibilities: Make sure everyone is safe. This is who we are and what we do. Safety is and always be our number one priority. Love and respect students while pushing them to develop high quality swim and safety skills as efficiently as possible. Follow our curriculum with a focus on the needs, abilities and comfort of each student. Be a team player who consistently dependable and reliable to be present and enthusiastic. Complete required training and be a continual learner. Energetic! We are looking for someone who is smiling and enthusiastic through their entire shift!

Qualifications: Caring and compassion for children and adults. Energetic! We are looking for someone who is smiling and enthusiastic through their entire shift! Ability to work in the water for periods of up to 5 hours. Strong communication skills. Great attitude and growth mindset. The ability to focus in a fast-paced environment. The ability to commit to at least 1 year of employment, afternoons and weekends required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to be in the water for at least 3 hours at a time. Must be able to be on your feet for at least 3 hours.
