Position Description As an Applebee's® Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for all day‑to‑day operations, ensuring guests and staff experience a passionate and exceptional environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit. Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs. Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints. Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards. Maintains departmental inventory levels. Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks. Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands. Maintains effective safety and security programs. Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation. Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs. Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates. Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers. Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems. Participates in constant employee development using One‑on‑One and performance documentation, contributing to completion of written evaluations. Assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback and works with employees on development. Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action. Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures. Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department. Compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines. Drives bi‑weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories. Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork. Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards. Provides a role model for managers and employees. Develops self on all store related technology. Must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed. Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies. Education and Experience At least 2‑3 years restaurant management experience. Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus. Compensation and Benefits Applebee's® Assistant Managers earn $19 to $23.50 per hour, approximately $54,340 to $67,200 annually based on a 50‑hour work week. Potential for monthly bonus where applicable by location. Competitive wages, profit sharing/bonus, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and additional PTO based on tenure are available. Physical Standards Work various shifts, including weekends. Stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours. Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.
