Responsibilities include:packaging bakery products to be sent to Publix storesmoving, dumping and scraping bowls and hoppers and ensuring pans are in place for product to be depositedplacing product on the production line and applying icing and toppingscleaning equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with industrial strength chemicalsaccurately completing all paperwork required by the position andother duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:must be at least 18 years oldmust demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)must demonstrate safe work habitsmust be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequentlymust be able to push or pull heavy equipment occasionallymust be able to lift pans or cases with product above shoulder level frequentlymust be able to work in a fast paced environmentmust have good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hoursmust have excellent attendance and punctualitymust be willing to assist other team members in other areasmust be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of timemust possess general knowledge of machine operationability to obtain a forklift license and operate a forkliftmust be able to work efficiently with little or no supervisionmust be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsmust possess basic math skillsmust be able to communicate effectivelymust show enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work anda commitment to Publix and our mission.
