Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical and Acute Care settings. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across multiple hospital units. This role requires flexibility to float between units based on patient census and facility needs, ensuring high quality care in a fast-paced critical access hospital environment.

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical and Acute Care settings. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across multiple hospital units. This role requires flexibility to float between units based on patient census and facility needs, ensuring high quality care in a fast-paced critical access hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care and patient assessments in an acute care hospital setting.
- Administer medications and implement treatment plans as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and case management.
- Float between units based on patient needs and hospital census.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (Epic).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of two years' experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Driver's license, car insurance, and access to an automobile for travel between facilities.
- Experience working in critical access or acute care hospitals.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.
- Ability to work across multiple care units and adapt to varying patient populations.
- Position typically 0.6 FTE, Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling options (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday).
- No on-call or weekend requirements.
- Float between hospital units and facilities based on census and therapist skill set.
- Work primarily at inpatient therapy unit with potential travel to other facilities in Colville and Spokane.
- Expected patient-to-nurse ratios range from 1:5 to 1:10.
- Flexible weekday schedule without weekend or block schedule requirements.
- Workday varies according to hospital census and unit needs.
