Spanish Teacher for 3 to 12 Year Olds (30 Hours a Week) Bay Farm Montessori Academy is seeking a thoughtful, creative, full-time Spanish Language teacher who wants to actively engage students between the ages of 3 and 12 in learning Spanish. The position may be split into two part-time roles: one in the morning (10:00-1:00) for 3-6 year olds and one in the afternoon (1:00-4:00) for grades 1-6, or combined into a single 10:00-4:00 benefits-eligible position covering both groups. The ideal candidate will provide a Spanish foundation to three groups: Children's House (ages 3-6), Elementary I (ages 6-9), and Elementary II (ages 9-12). They should be skilled in delivering an engaging, age-appropriate Montessori-inspired curriculum to small groups, fostering receptive and expressive vocabulary, and encouraging fluency in various contexts with correct grammar and usage. The teacher guides learning experiences, promotes independence and self-motivation through small group lessons, and maintains a well-prepared environment. Fluency in Spanish and a passion for creating an outstanding language learning experience are essential. Classroom management skills are vital for success. Additional duties include supervising lunch and recess on the lower campus.
