Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes. Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers. Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized. Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming. Execute photo station process for carmax.com listings. Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support. Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards. High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred. Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records. Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. Hourly Rate $18.50 – $25.80 Benefits Full‑time hourly or commission/incentive eligible associates earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year and 80–200 hours of vacation time per year after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service. Associates receive pay for each of six scheduled holidays per year plus one floating holiday, and may be eligible for holiday premium pay if they work on a holiday. Full‑time salaried associates receive paid time away with no specified limit for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc., subject to manager approval.
