Litigation Paralegal

One of Kansas City’s most respected firms is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join its legal team. This role will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, ensuring smooth case progression and meticulous case management. Responsibilities include: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case materials and evidence. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and affidavits with precision and clarity. Manage and maintain case files electronically and physically, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and properly indexed. Coordinate the scheduling of court dates, meetings, depositions, and other legal proceedings while tracking deadlines diligently. Conduct legal research to support case strategies and compile relevant information for review. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and external vendors to facilitate case progress. Assist in the collection and review of evidence including medical records, financial documents, and other pertinent data. Requirements: Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
