Greensboro, NC | Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi, Non-Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekends required (at least 8 per contract); holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma emergency department setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV starts, blood product administration, and central line care and management
• Administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Manage ventilated patients, interpret ABGs, and operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Complete a compliance EKG exam prior to assignment (2 attempts allowed)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
• No open background check cases permitted; third-party education verification required
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application — no post-submission RTO accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience with procedural sedation and management of hemodynamically unstable patients
• Familiarity with triage protocols in a high-volume emergency department environment
