Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients within a medical-surgical setting, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with professional standards. Demonstrates clinical expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and interdisciplinary communication.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Implement and modify nursing interventions, therapies, and procedures according to patient condition and response.
• Document all nursing care accurately and maintain up-to-date records to ensure seamless communication within the healthcare team.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and teamwork to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with team members and delegate tasks appropriately to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, and health management.

Qualifications:

• Possess an Illinois RN License in good standing.
• Hold an Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
• Maintain BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Have at least one year of relevant nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
