Clinical Nurse Educator NICU

Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

The Clinical Nurse Educator NICU is a key member of the clinical education team and supports the ongoing development of nursing staff within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities:

• Provide education and training to NICU nursing staff.
• Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Develop and update educational materials and learning resources.
• Mentor and support new graduate nurses and staff members.
• Round on the unit to provide bedside education and clinical support.
• Assist with the implementation of new policies, procedures, and equipment.
• Support go-live initiatives and department education projects.
• Collaborate with nurse leaders and educators across the health system to ensure consistent educational practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Graduate Degree, preferred. MSN, preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• NICU nursing experience required.
• RN professional certification in a relevant specialty required within six (6) months of hire.
• Previous education, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
