Make a difference in the lives of high school students by providing comprehensive psychological services in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, full school year contract opportunity is perfect for a passionate School Psychologist eager to support the well-being and academic success of adolescents. Enjoy a predictable schedule working from 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance as you collaborate with dedicated educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (State of NY or eligibility)
- Master’s or Specialist Degree in School Psychology
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, crisis management, and consultation
- Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, students, families, and other support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide interventions
- Provide direct counseling and support to high school students
- Collaborate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers and staff to develop behavior intervention and support plans
- Respond to crises and assist with intervention strategies as needed
- Promote a positive school climate by supporting social, emotional, and behavioral health
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and multidisciplinary team meetings
