Come change the game with us.ResponsibilitiesTrade Compliance Guidance & Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classification: Assist with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification support for Import National Brand products Ensure compliance with CBP regulations, customs requirements, and international trade laws Maintain accurate classification data within internal systems and databases Assist with customs-related inquiries and compliance reviews to support timely and compliant import/export Support Customs audits, internal reviews, and corrective action initiatives Monitor vendor adherence to import requirements and compliance standards Ensure proper declarations on all export filings, including HTS/Schedule B, value, partner government agency requirements (PGA), BIS, ECCN, etc. Assist in onboarding new vendors and programs by ensuring compliance requirements are understood and implementedTrade Process Improvement & Documentation: Develop and communicate import compliance guidelines, requirements, and expectations to vendors and internal business partners Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data accuracy across compliance activities Participate in compliance-related projects, system enhancements, and process integrations Develop and distribute reportingCollaborate Cross-Functionally to Reduce Risk and Strengthen Partnerships: Partner with Legal, Logistics, Sourcing, Buying, Finance, and other business teams to align compliance objectives with business goals Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness of trade compliance requirements Assist with integrating and aligning trade compliance practices across DSG and Foot Locker, including audit programs, duty reduction initiatives, and related compliance controls Serve as a subject matter resource on compliance implications related to sourcing decisions, new product launches, and special programsQualificationsBachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration or similar3+ years experience with import trade compliance, international trade laws, HTS Classification, international logistics or related fieldStrong influence in apparel & footwearExperienced with US classification; Canada a plusDemonstrated knowledge of tarriffs and free trade agreementsProficiency with Microsoft ExcelFamiliar with working with a customs brokerAbility to prepare and submit bindings rulingsUnderstanding of customs duties statement reconciliationVendor document knowledgePreferred: Customs Brokerage License Knowledge of how to manage quantity reconciliation ACE & CARM experienceAt Foot Locker, we value innovation, authenticity, and integrity in all that we do.
