Job Summary

Join our dedicated nursing team in Grants, New Mexico, as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care throughout the full nursing process, from assessment and diagnosis to planning, implementation, and evaluation.

You will coordinate individualized patient education, guide ancillary team members, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns. This position requires a compassionate professional committed to upholding the highest standards of nursing practice, aligned with the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act and current evidence-based guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for perinatal patients.
• Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns across the perinatal continuum, promoting optimal health outcomes.
• Deliver clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel within the LDRP unit.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the broader interdisciplinary care team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and ongoing professional development.
• Float to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• SAFER NM Technician certification.
