Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation. The position requires a 1:5-6 patient ratio. Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Floating within and near the facility may be required as per job description. Weekend shifts will be required between 12-16 per contract. Common patient diagnoses include dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleed. Unit systems include Pyxis and electronic documentation. Staff will work with interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting. Additional skills preferred include management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of ABGs. All RTO must be pre-approved and no RTO is allowed during the first week of the contract. Candidates must demonstrate open availability for class sessions during the first week. Travel pairs are allowed as long as they are on different units and disclosed accordingly.
