In this CNC and manual machinist role, you'll manufacture and repair precision parts that support critical manufacturing equipment. You'll work in a job shop environment using a variety of machine tools while helping ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.Location: New London, WI Pay: $24.00-$34.00/hour based on experience Schedule: Second Shift | Monday-Friday | 2:45 p.m.-12:45 a.m.What You'll DoPrioritize safety in all activities, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and support plant safety initiatives, including participation on the Emergency Response TeamSafely operate and maintain machine shop equipment, including manual and CNC lathes, mills, boring bars, surface grinders, and roll manufacturing equipmentOperate cutting equipment such as band saws, table saws, and radial arm sawsPerform machine setups for a variety of machining jobs and assist with the design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures as neededPerform machining operations using grinders, drill presses, broaching equipment, and other machine shop toolsRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments to verify parts meet quality and tolerance requirementsPerform routine maintenance on shop equipment and tools to support reliable operationsFollow OSHA regulations and all company safety, quality, and operational standardsSafely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and other material handling equipmentWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical degree in Machining Technology, Journeyman Machinist certification, or equivalent experience preferredExperience operating manual machining equipment and/or CNC machineryAbility to read blueprints and use precision measuring instrumentsMechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to safely operate forklifts and use basic rigging equipment, including slings and strapsStrong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shiftBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, pharmacy, disability, and life insurance starting day oneDollar-for-dollar 401(k) match up to 8%Paid time off and company holidaysTuition reimbursement and professional development opportunitiesCareer growth within a global manufacturing organizationApply today and build your machining career with Amcor.
