Groundskeeper

GroundspersonResponsibilities include maintaining the physical grounds of the hotel, including the parking lot and courtyard. The role of a groundsperson must be attentive to detail to ensure a high-quality appearance of the entire property. The groundsperson must be dexterous, with a fast pace and an ability to use different equipment when necessary.Safety and environmental performance includes ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to by personal example, supporting full hotel compliance with safety rules to further our goal of zero (0) accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses, adhering to SOPs and other work procedures as required to ensure guest satisfaction and consistent service is delivered to our patrons, and immediately reporting all injuries to Loss Prevention, as well as the manager on duty.Job responsibilities include maintaining and upkeep of the physical grounds of the hotel including parking lot and courtyard, cutting grass and watering flowers, performing daily inspection of physical grounds and equipment, maintaining a clean grounds including sweeping curbs, cleaning parking lot and courtyard, being proficient with a variety of grounds keeping tools and equipment, such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc., and responding in a courteous manner to all guest questions, requests, and complaints.Qualifications include zero to two years of experience, high school diploma or equivalent required, and basic knowledge of landscaping preferred.Working conditions include performing under various temperature conditions, operating outdoors and indoors, heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, walking long distances, under variable noise levels, around dust and mite hazards, around fumes and odor hazards, around chemicals, required to wear a company-provided uniform when applicable, working around moving machinery/heavy equipment, and slippery and uneven walking surfaces.Crowne Plaza Hotel - Louisville Airport is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
