Store Manager

Store Manager – Responsibilities Maximize sales by directing team members to deliver prompt, courteous, and professional customer service. Solicit orders, sell company products, and represent the company in accordance with internal policies. Maintain and grow the customer base, increase sales volume at assigned accounts, review customer needs to gain market share, and solicit stocking-type business as well as daily needs and equipment sales. Coordinate sales call efforts with the Territory Sales Manager. Supervise all store team members; work with the District Manager on recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging staff. Develop, post, and review work schedules and timecards to ensure accurate payroll and staffing. Ensure all team members continually improve skills through company training on policies, customer service, computer operations, catalogs, sales, and safety. Collaborate with Sales and Pricing Departments (and District Manager) to set pricing levels for professional customers. Maximize gross profit on outside purchases; monitor non‑competitive price overrides and price matches to ensure policy compliance and eliminate discounting abuse. Ensure the store is organized, operating in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and that all new information from the company is communicated to team members. Implement planogram changes and merchandising plans as outlined. Provide Inventory Control with accurate and timely stock adjustment recaps. Handle daily store accounting functions—including sales reports, bank deposits, cash drawers, and check processing—to maintain maximum store, corporate, and distribution center efficiency. Monitor charge accounts, address past‑due situations promptly, and communicate regularly with the Territory Sales Manager and credit department on problem accounts. Implement loss prevention procedures covering billing, cash refunds, credit and stock transfer procedures, warranty procedures, key control, safe combination/alarm codes, and shoplifting prevention. Ensure store vehicles are clean, well‑maintained, and that daily/monthly inspections are completed properly. Report property/building needs via the Maintenance and Repair System (MARS) or to the District Manager. Attend the Annual Managers' Conference. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and Manager Development Program module. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization, prioritization, and time‑management abilities. Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems. Required certifications: Certified Parts Professional and/or ASE certification. Desired: Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
