Position Summary As a Dishwasher, you are a vital part of the restaurant’s daily operations. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas, including dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring smooth service and safety. Essential Functions Clean dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment efficiently, using industrial dishwashers and hand washing as needed. Sanitize all items per health code regulations, adhering to temperature requirements and cleaning protocols. Clean and organize kitchen and dishwashing areas, sweep and mop floors, empty trash, and keep stations presentable and safe. Assist chefs and kitchen staff by providing clean utensils and cookware, especially during busy service periods. Monitor cleaning supply levels, notify management when low, and assist with restocking. Dispose of food scraps, recycle, and waste according to restaurant policies and environmental regulations. Perform minor maintenance on dishwashing machines, report malfunctions or hazards promptly, and coordinate with Engineering on complex issues. Work collaboratively with all restaurant staff, communicating with front‑of‑house and bar to ensure seamless flow. Participate in pre‑service meetings and briefings. May require shift work, overtime, on‑call duties, and other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid Food Handler Certification within 60 days of hire (Texas Food Establishment Rules). 1–2 years of experience in hotel, country club, or fine dining environment. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills in English (verbal and written); Spanish speaking is a plus. Strong attention to detail, proactive guest‑service approach, positive professional demeanor, and teamwork ability. Ability to stoop, bend, stand, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds; work extended periods without relief. Compliance with kitchen uniform, grooming, hygiene standards, slip‑resistant shoes, protective gear, and hair restraint. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed. Work Shift Shift work may vary based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties. The restaurant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
