Hearing Aid SpecialistAs a Hearing Aid Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their hearing care journey. You'll work closely alongside our audiologists to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. The Hearing Instrument Specialist is responsible for the identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about helping others and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare setting.Locations: Florham Park, NJ & Fair Lawn, NJ Schedule: Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $5,000What You'll DoConduct hearing screenings and assist in identifying hearing impairmentsRecommend, fit, program, and adjust hearing aid devices based on patient needsEducate patients on hearing aid use, care, maintenance, and featuresTroubleshoot hearing aid devices and perform minor repairs when neededSupport ongoing patient care through follow-up appointments and hearing aid adjustmentsMaintain accurate and organized patient documentationCollaborate closely with audiologists and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomesStay informed on the latest hearing aid technology and industry advancementsPromote a welcoming, efficient, and positive patient experienceRequired QualificationsActive State Hearing Aid Specialist License (REQUIRED)High School Diploma or GEDPrevious hearing aid dispensing and patient care experience preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience with hearing aid software, diagnostic equipment, and electronic medical recordsAbility to build trust and establish positive relationships with patients, providers, and staffStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movementsDexterity to handle small hearing aid components and equipmentAbility to move equipment and supplies as neededAbility to work in a fast-paced clinical environmentPay Range: $28.51 - $35.63 HourlyThe provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.Total Rewards at VillageMDOur team members are essential to our mission to reshape healthcare through the power of connection.
