Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

RollShield LLC is seeking an experienced Home Improvement Sales Manager to lead, coach, recruit and develop a high-performance team of commissioned in-home sales professionals.

We are looking for a hands-on sales leader—not someone whose primary management tool is a Monday meeting. The right manager will understand in-home selling, sales numbers, accountability, recruiting, ride-alongs and how to help capable salespeople close more business.

This position requires a manager who can hold experienced salespeople accountable without micromanaging them, identify performance problems using measurable data and provide practical coaching that produces results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, interview, onboard and retain high-quality commissioned sales representatives.
• Train and coach salespeople on discovery, product presentation, value building, objection handling, closing and follow-up.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs and provide specific post-appointment coaching.
• Review sales results and key performance indicators, including issued leads, demo rates, closing ratios, average contract amounts, cancellations, financing and unsold opportunities.
• Develop individual performance-improvement plans for underperforming sales representatives.
• Help successful representatives improve their closing ratios and overall production.
• Conduct role-playing, call reviews, individual coaching sessions and productive sales meetings.
• Keep meetings concise, focused and measurable so salespeople remain available to run leads.
• Build consistent follow-up and rehash procedures for unsold opportunities.
• Protect every company-generated lead and prevent “bad leads” from becoming an excuse for poor performance.
• Maintain CRM accountability and accurate sales reporting.
• Coordinate product and sales training with manufacturers, vendors and other resources.
• Work with ownership and marketing to evaluate lead quality and sales performance by source.
• Promote a professional culture of accountability, continuous training and measurable improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

The strongest candidates will have:

• Successful experience managing an in-home or high-ticket home-improvement sales team.
• A proven personal record of high-level sales production before moving into management.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, training and retaining commissioned salespeople.
• A record of improving individual and team closing ratios.
• Experience conducting ride-alongs, role-playing, call reviews and one-on-one coaching.
• Strong knowledge of sales KPIs and performance reporting.
• Experience managing company-generated leads.
• The ability to lead experienced sales personalities without micromanaging them or avoiding accountability.
• Experience conducting concise sales meetings that produce measurable improvement.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with hurricane protection, windows and doors, roofing, HVAC, solar, remodeling or another high-ticket home-improvement product is preferred.

• A manager who responds to every performance problem by asking for more leads.
• Someone who changes the sales process every week based on the latest book, podcast or seminar.
