Billing Specialist

This role is responsible for managing billing, collections, account maintenance, and customer communication while ensuring timely and accurate billing processes. Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly billing and follow up on outstanding account balances
• Maintain customer account information, including account status changes and billing records
• Monitor aging reports and proactively resolve outstanding balances
• Post payments, charges, and account adjustments accurately
• Complete daily cash deposits and maintain cash balance records
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accounts are billed correctly
• Track claims and ensure successful processing through the billing system
• Prepare month-end reports and support financial reconciliation activities
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders regarding billing questions and payment issues
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or collections experience
• Healthcare billing experience is a plus but not required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and overall computer proficiency
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage xhyhwjd multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
