Job Summary
The Adjunct Instructor, Health Sciences is a part-time position responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the Health Sciences and Wellness Pathway and other related courses at the community college level. The instructor may teach a range of health science courses, including Healthcare Ethics, Medical Terminology, Nutrition, Pathophysiology, Strategies for Success, Transition Experience, and Patient Skills catering to students with varied academic and career goals. Responsibilities include developing, revising, and delivering course materials aligned with college standards, assessing student performance, creating and delivering competency-based instruction in a classroom environment and, on occasion, a clinical or lab environment; organizing and executing laboratory experiments, supervising students in a laboratory setting, and providing academic support to help students succeed.
Compensation: $850 per credit hour. Priority Screening Date: Position is open until filled. Starting Date: As soon as practical after the hiring process. Position filled on an as needed basis. Principal Responsibilities and Results, KSA's ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - this position is e xempt and is not eligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA. Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters in one of the following subject areas: Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Physical Therapy, or related field -OR-
Have met certification/licensure standards set by national accrediting institutions including but not limited to, JRCERT, CAAHEP, etc.
- Two years of college-level teaching experience including teaching in a classroom or clinical setting
- One year of experience with web-based learning management systems
