Senior Data Analyst (Power BI / AWS / SQL)

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 2–3 Days Onsite)

Duration: Contract Rate: DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop robust Power BI data models, datasets, and semantic models.
• Create advanced DAX measures, calculations, and optimized reports.
• Analyze data from PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AWS-hosted systems, and Unified Data Hub (UDH) environments.
• Integrate Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) metrics into dashboards.
• Validate data quality, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and perform root cause analysis.
• Partner with engineering teams to resolve data issues and improve reporting accuracy.
• Define KPI standards and support enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior analysts on Power BI best practices.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Power BI Desktop
  • Power BI Service
  • Data Modeling
  • DAX
  • Power Query (M)
• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience working with AWS cloud data environments.
• Strong knowledge of DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience creating executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
