Job Description
Title
NICU RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Schedule
Variable weekends (every other or as needed)

Assignment Details
- Orientation: 24 hours
- 48-hour shifts approved
- Unit does not need coverage beyond the end of September

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Valid WA or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Experience caring for ratios up to 3:1
- EMR: Epic

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to neonates in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Manage and monitor neonatal respiratory support including CPAP, HFNC, and high-frequency ventilation.
- Perform vascular and line care, including UAC/UVC and central line management.
- Conduct essential neonatal procedures and care, such as thermoregulation, phototherapy, and sepsis workups.
- Engage in family teaching and developmental care.
- Administer medications and monitor neonatal responses, including the use of vasopressors.

- Pre-start modules required (average ~16 hours; completion recorded)
