Operations Manager - Manufacturing

I'm currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join a growing precision machining manufacturer serving the aerospace and industrial markets. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on the shop floor and has the technical expertise to lead by example.
We're looking for a seasoned manufacturing leader who can oversee daily production, troubleshoot machining issues, drive scheduling, and support a team of skilled machinists in a fast-paced CNC environment.
Key Qualifications:
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a CNC machining environment
Strong hands-on knowledge of CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss machining
Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and work alongside maintenance/service technicians
Experience managing production schedules, priorities, and workflow in a high-mix machine shop
Solid understanding of tooling, machine setups, blueprint reading, and GD&T
Proven ability to lead machinists, drive accountability, and improve shop floor performance
Experience in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environment is preferred
Familiarity with ERP or job shop scheduling systems (JobBOSS, E2, Epicor, or similar) is a plus
This is a first-shift, on-site leadership role where you'll be expected to be highly involved in daily operations, support production, solve problems in real time, and ensure customer commitments are met. The position requires flexibility to work extended hours and occasional Saturdays as production demands.
