Contract | Rotating Shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Emergency Room, including care within designated trauma bays
• Triage and assess patients at bedside upon arrival; manage a diverse patient population including geriatric, pediatric, pneumonia, CHF, and COPD cases
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently; perform phlebotomy and arterial blood gas (ABG) draws
• Operate within a team-based staffing model, maintaining patient ratios of up to 1:6 depending on census and acuity
• Support respiratory care needs as needed, including manual bagging until RT arrives, given limited RT coverage hours
• Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to perform ABGs and independently read cardiac monitor strips
• Confidence and strong clinical skills required to function effectively in a lower-resource, high-autonomy environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Telestroke protocols
• Familiarity with portable chest radiology and proximity-based radiology workflows
• Experience working in a critical access or rural emergency department setting
