In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by executing precise bookkeeping practices, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting processes. Responsibilities Record and process journal entries using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data. Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements. Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and analyzing financial data for accuracy. Maintain detailed documentation of all transactions, journal entries, and account adjustments. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar tools. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and GAAP standards. Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes. Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus. Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare accurate financial reports. Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently; proficiency in 10 key typing is advantageous.
