Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the inpatient adolescent behavioral health team, providing comprehensive care to children and teens diagnosed with major depression, ADD/ADHD, and other behavioral health conditions. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary staff to deliver medication management, patient education, and behavioral monitoring to support recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications accurately and educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and timely in electronic health records.
• Monitor and manage patient behaviors to ensure safety and adherence to care plans.
• Lead patient and family education groups to promote understanding and coping skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float to Chemical Dependency/Detox as needed, providing support across units.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State of Maine RN license.
• Possess an Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Have BLS certification current and maintained.
• Demonstrate 1-3 years of nursing experience, preferably with behavioral health populations.
• Be CPI trained and comfortable working in high-stress situations.
