About the Position

Job Title – Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Location – Albuquerque, New Mexico
Duration – 13 Weeks (06/08/2026 onward)
Shift – Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (06:30 PM – 07:00 AM)
Rotation – Option of 36 or 48 hours/week (anything over 48 hours is overtime)
Float – Yes, to like units as needed
Call Requirement – No

Job Description
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced medical surgical unit. The RN will manage a variety of medical conditions while ensuring patient safety, adherence to clinical protocols, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.

Mandatory Skills / Experience
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
First-time travelers accepted with 24 months nursing experience
Experience with Epic charting preferred
Ability to manage 1:6 patient ratio
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity Med/Surg environment

Clinical Experience Required – Blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC/peripheral line care, IV starts/maintenance, phlebotomy, chest tubes, HFNC, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, feeding tube/ostomy care, heparin/insulin/PCA administration, renal failure and pre/post hemodialysis management, wound vac/wound care, surgical drains, isolation precautions/PPE, and rapid response activation.
