CDL Driver

Position Purpose The CDL Driver at SRS is responsible for ensuring the safety and timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifying inventory, following safety protocols, and maintaining high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy. Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries and assess job site conditions to prevent hazards. Collaborate with customers for material placement and document deliveries with photos per company policy. Load and unload materials up to 100 lbs using forklifts or manually. Work in varied weather and noisy environments while reading job-related documents in English. Minimum Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record. Experience operating forklifts safely and working in varied environmental conditions. Effective communication in English. Age 18+ (21 for interstate or hazmat duties). Pass background check, drug screen, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification. 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience. Preferred Qualifications Hazmat endorsement. Strong vehicle maintenance skills. Experience with multi‑drop deliveries and fleet management systems. Commitment to continuous improvement. Multilingual abilities. Certifications & Credentials Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement. Current DOT Medical Certificate. Forklift Certification (preferred). FMCSA Registration. Working Conditions CDL Drivers must manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support. Success requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $30–$37 per hour, DOE. Base Salary: typically $23.51–$29.90 per hour. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.
