Fauquier Health operates a full-service laboratory in conjunction with
Pathfinder Diagnostics, Lab Corporation of America, Quest Diagnostics, and the
American Red Cross. The laboratory provides consultation services in most areas
of anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as comprehensive laboratory services
to physician offices.
How you’ll contribute
A Medical Technologist who excels in this role:
* Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in
diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
- Follows standardized procedures and prepares patient samples for testing.
- Collects and analyzes bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities,
including blood samples for transfusions.
- Operates laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
- Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits;
reports and documents findings according to organizational standards.
- Performs automated testing using computerized instruments and equipment.
- Conducts Quality Assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment
and results.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for -
Applicants should have a Bachelors Degree in Science.
-Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must
reflect education requirements)

(including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging
capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health
system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including
Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted
surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing
Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Hourly range $27.60-$37.26
