Engineering Co-op Program

Launch your engineering career with hands-on experience at a global technology leader. The Timken Company's Engineering Co-op Program is designed for motivated engineering students who want to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges while building professional skills and industry experience.

This program is open to full-time students pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Co-ops work full-time (40 hours per week) alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects that support Timken's products, manufacturing operations, and customers worldwide.

Career Development Paths

Manufacturing Engineering

Work directly within one of Timken's U.S. manufacturing facilities, gaining experience in process improvement, quality systems, supply chain operations, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operations excellence.

Sales Engineering

Develop both technical and business acumen through rotations in sales support, field sales, marketing, and business management. This path includes opportunities to work in a sales district office and learn how engineering solutions create value for customers across diverse industries.

Engineering

Gain exposure to product innovation, engineering analysis, testing, and customer-focused solutions through a variety of engineering disciplines such as Design Engineering, Application, and Research & Development.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Ability to relocate.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled in a full-time engineering Bachelor's Degree program (12 semester/credit hours) at an accredited four-year university.
