Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Material Handler to join our Warehouse team based in Grapevine, TX.

Your duties are designed to provide leadership for Material Handlers in support of Warehouse operations to ensure departmental goals are met. This includes receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, internal and external customer support, safety and Foreign Trade Zone Compliance.

Your challenges:

Daily Activities: 50%

• Continuous follow up and monitoring of progress and adjust accordingly.
• Support CSR's and buyers as needed
• Monitor Andon and Streamflex tools
• Receiving, stocking, picking, packing
• Problem solving and support of Material Handlers
• Monitor transit locations and resolve issues as required
• Foreign Trade Zone Compliance
• Safety compliance

Interdepartmental Coordination: 50%

• Support CSR's and buyers as needed
• Problem solving and support of Material Handlers
• Coordinate with Import and Export teams to ensure FTZ compliance
• Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure critical functions are staffed properly
• Cross-train departmental staff to ensure coverage is available when needed

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a warehousing, distribution, inventory control or related function.

• Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
• Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
• Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
• Equipment Operation: Able to operate personal computer, telephone, fax machine and related equipment. Able to operate warehouse material handling equipment including forklift and cherry picker. Daily
• Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily
• Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily
• Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull carts and small items up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily
• Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
• Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
• Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily
• Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
• Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Most of the time.
• Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
• Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
