Quick Hiring: Apply today and hear back within 48 hours What You'll Do: Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging individual and group activities that support the cognitive, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social well‑being of adult day center participants and memory care residents. Develop and facilitate comprehensive programming including music, arts and crafts, games, sensory activities, exercise, outings, educational events, holiday celebrations, and special events. Complete activity assessments and individualized activity plans while monitoring participant engagement, progress, behaviors, and overall well‑being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during care plan meetings, family meetings, case conferences, and quality assurance initiatives to enhance participant quality of life. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to activity staff and volunteers, including assisting with volunteer recruitment and training. Coordinate center‑wide events, decorations, entertainment, and community outings while maintaining safe, organized, and welcoming activity spaces. Assist with additional program services as needed, including transportation support, participant dining assistance, and maintaining CPR/First Aid certifications and required trainings. Drive the community van for recreational outings and assist residents with safe transfers on and off the vehicle. What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation therapy, gerontology, social work, therapeutic recreation, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of experience in adult social programs, senior living, adult day services, recreation, or memory care preferred. Experience and/or specialized training working with older adults and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia preferred. Activity Professional Certification, CPR certification, and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with participants, families, staff, and volunteers. Energetic, dependable, and self‑motivated team player who can effectively manage dementia‑related behaviors in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
