Medical Biller

Medstar Consulting is a medical billing company based in Boca Raton, Florida focused on Physician reimbursement services. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced medical billing specialists to manage medical claims processing, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely billing, maximize reimbursements, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA guidelines.

Role Description: A full-time, on-site role located in Boca Raton, FL, responsible for managing the complete billing cycle for the practice. Daily tasks include preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and other payers, ensuring accuracy of patient information, procedure codes, and diagnoses. The role involves following up on unpaid claims, resolving denials, posting payments, and reconciling accounts. The Medical Biller will communicate with insurance companies, internal clinical and administrative teams, and patients to clarify coverage, correct billing issues, and support revenue integrity. This position also maintains up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, payer requirements, and practice policies, while using practice management and billing software to track and report billing activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and appropriate use of diagnosis codes in billing.
• Experience working with commercial insurance plans and managed care organizations.
• Familiarity with Medicare billing rules, coverage guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to review, track, and resolve claim denials and underpayments.
• Previous medical billing or revenue cycle experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with practice management systems and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interactions with payers, team members, and patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration preferred.
