Social Media and Marketing Asst, Part-Time-Museums, Archives, Rare Books, and University Libraries Job ID: 299841 Location: Kennesaw, Georgia Full/Part Time: Part Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Job Summary Assists in the creation and execution of social media marketing campaigns across multiple platforms. Leads social media efforts and assists with editing the website as needed. Actively participates in marketing initiatives providing support where needed. Department Specific Tasks Design marketing and communications materials, including flyers, brochures, signs, calendar graphics, and other print and digital items. Assist with outreach programs and events for Museums, Archives, Rare Books, and University Libraries. Assist with photography and videography for print, digital, and social media posts. Assist with web content creation. Key Responsibilities Manage all assigned social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok. Determine and implement strategy for targeted traffic to social media platforms. Lead social media marketing campaigns to support marketing efforts. Under the direction and approval of leadership, create, execute, and publish campaigns. Coordinate testimonials (students, alumni, etc.) and news stories. Edit program videos for social media use. Maintain a social media schedule for each platform and post consistently, multiple times a week. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Experience: One (1) year of experience in Marketing, Communications and/or related field. Preferred Qualifications Excellent writing skills. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and creating social media campaigns. Experience with website development. Advanced degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related field. Proposed Salary The budgeted salary range is $17.00 to $22.00 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Abilities Able to adapt to the digital workplace environment using Microsoft Teams and Zoom for communication. Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time and meet assigned deadlines. Skills Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills. Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). Strong attention to detail and follow up skills. Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette. Other Information This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is not considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P‑Card). This position will not travel.
