A growing manufacturer within the specialty chemicals industry is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and inventory management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will lead a team of approximately six employees and play a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of materials throughout the operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong warehouse and logistics leader who thrives in regulated environments and understands the complexities of hazardous materials handling, shipping documentation, and operational execution.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations for inbound and outbound materials
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately six warehouse personnel
Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities
Ensure accuracy and compliance of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping paperwork, and inventory documentation
Oversee hazardous materials storage, labeling, handling, and transportation in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and other applicable regulations
Partner closely with operations, customer service, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth logistics flow
Manage freight scheduling, carrier relationships, and shipment coordination
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and warehouse organization initiatives
Drive continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse efficiency, safety, and cost control
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements
Monitor KPIs related to shipping accuracy, inventory performance, and warehouse productivity
Qualifications
5+ years of warehouse and/or logistics leadership experience within manufacturing, chemicals, flavors, ingredients, food, or related industries
Prior experience supervising warehouse personnel in a hands-on operational environment
Strong understanding of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documentation, and freight coordination
Experience handling and shipping hazardous materials required
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and hazmat compliance regulations
Inventory management and warehouse systems experience preferred
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Forklift certification or experience preferred
Preferred Background
Specialty chemicals, flavors, ingredients, food manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Experience working within regulated manufacturing or distribution environments
ERP/WMS system experience is a plus
