Air Force Readiness Data Analyst

Salary: $150,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an active Top Secret security clearance.
• We require a bachelors degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Military Operations, or a closely related analytical field.
• We may consider equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant experience for exceptionally qualified candidates.
• We require five or more years of experience in data analytics, readiness assessment, operational analysis, force management analysis, military operations, or similar Department of Defense work.
• We need familiarity with Air Force operations and operational readiness concepts.
• We require experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
• We require experience building dashboards, visualizations, analytical reports, and decision-support products.
• We require experience with Power BI, SQL, Excel, Tableau, or similar analytics and business intelligence tools.
• We need strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capability.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills.
• We need the ability to present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We require the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility headquarters environment.
• We require the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary technical team.

• We analyze readiness, force management, personnel, logistics, maintenance, training, deployment, flying hour, and resource data supporting AFRADS decision-support capabilities.
• We integrate data from multiple authoritative Air Force and Department of Defense sources.
• We develop and maintain analytical datasets that support readiness assessments, predictive analytics, and decision-support applications.
• We work with the Modeling & Simulation Analyst to prepare, validate, and structure data for readiness forecasting models.
• We partner with software engineering personnel to support dashboard development, application functionality, automation efforts, and data integration activities.
• We create dashboards, reports, visualizations, and executive briefing materials for Air Force senior leaders.
• We support readiness assessments within AFFORGEN, Global Force Management, operational planning, contingency support requirements, and enterprise readiness management.
• We apply data analytics methods to identify readiness trends, risks, opportunities, and emerging operational issues.
• We support data quality validation, governance, and traceability of analytical outputs.
• We help implement advanced analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities as part of AFRADS modernization.
• We respond to recurring and short-notice readiness taskings from Headquarters Air Force, the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Congressional stakeholders.
• We produce decision-quality analytical products suitable for General Officer, SES, and senior executive audiences.
