Job Description BW Papersystems is looking for experienced Mechanical Assemblers who will plan and perform a normal range of operations connected with the assembly and erection of company-produced machines. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of box-making machines comprised of feed, printing, cutter, scorer-slotter sections, and related units in accordance with design specifications. Working from complex drawings and a considerable number of component parts that require skill and care to align, fit, and assemble into units and obtain exacting operating performance and appearance. Job Functions Work from assembly drawings, specifications, and instructions to plan work in proper sequences. Assemble sections of machines of various combinations thereof as indicated by customer specifications. Perform basic assembly operations to exacting tolerances, work with rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures, and sprockets. Operate various hand and power tools involved in assembly Use measuring instruments to level and align work, detect, and eliminate run-out, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity and parallelism. Detect defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervision. Complete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements. Actively participant in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues. Able to multi-task various duties throughout the day as needed, with an ability to be versatile and flexible. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; be able to independently solve problems while interacting with various teams and teammates on daily processes and flow. Work in accordance with established safety procedures. Willingness to assist assembly team with other duties as required. Basic Qualifications and Competencies Have a High School Diploma or GED certificate 2+ years of machine building, mechanical assembly, or related work experience.
