Overnight Stocking Coach

Position Summary Leads and develops store teams through training, active listening, and feedback while touring stores and collaborating across all levels to improve operations using technology and merchandising initiatives. Key Responsibilities Teach, train, and mentor associates, set clear expectations, and provide recognition to build a high‑performing team. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of staff regarding store operations, leveraging technology and business initiatives to support company direction. Lead and implement change efforts, provide guidance on business solutions, and communicate objectives effectively. Model exceptional customer‑service standards and support initiatives such as community outreach, resolving customer issues, and creating action plans for continuous improvement. Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing profit & loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and minimizing shrink. Coordinate job‑related activities, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and set goals while measuring progress and identifying improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies, support ethical standards, and implement the Open Door Policy. Promote a culture of belonging, respect diversity, and foster strong, trusting relationships. Minimum Qualifications 2 years of college education OR 1 year of retail experience with 1 year supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm‑selling facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training. For ammunition‑selling facilities: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility. Successful completion of all required job training and assessments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (LiveBetterU or Bellevue University). Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (LiveBetterU or Bellevue University). General work experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses, regional pay zone differential, and legislative state pay differential.
