IRP - Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary Responsible for providing quality patient care while performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures safely while operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. Requires Patient Care: Yes Essential Functions Scan patients properly, selecting correct technical factors and fully understanding nuclear medicine physics to operate equipment at optimal settings for quality procedures Prepare patients for procedures, including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning Explain procedures to patients considering physical and emotional needs Record images as directed for radiologist interpretation Maintain pertinent records Maintain required documentation regarding radioactive materials, both upon receipt and prior to administration Qualifications Education: Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging required. Experience in lieu of a degree: No. Licenses and Credentials: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT/ARRT‑N) – Preferred Radiologic Technologist or Technician (Nuclear Medicine) – State License – Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Preferred Experience MRI Tech experience with multiple patient populations – 2–3 years required.
