Job Description & Requirements Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Aiken, South Carolina. Specialty and Employment Details Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12‑hour days Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications At least one year of recent experience as a CT Technologist Valid radiology license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ARRT certification Other certifications and licenses as required for the position Summary of Role The CT Tech operates computerized tomography scanners to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include preparing patients, positioning them safely and accurately, ensuring proper imaging protocols, working closely with radiologists, maintaining equipment, documenting patient records, and adhering to safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure while providing compassionate care. Essential Work Functions Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position them appropriately. Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT tech practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and possess PC skills. Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel with a positive attitude. Technical / Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move around during procedures and when using department equipment. Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, work sometimes under close supervision, handle irregular activity schedules, and maintain continuous concentration on detail.
