12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to integrate quickly into our patient-centered care model. This role involves managing a diverse patient population including telemetry, surgical, and progressive care patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for medical-surgical telemetry and progressive care patients.
• Provide supportive care while transfer arrangements are being made for higher acuity patients.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team including hospitalists and nursing staff for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the Code 99 and Rapid Response teams as needed.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and medication administration through the PYXIS system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry required; progressive care experience preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start.
• EPIC experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips is required.
