The TLEE Program and Role The TLEE Program is a leadership support pipeline within SFUSD designed to attract, develop, and retain the highest quality school leaders. In this program for all new principals and APs, we develop leaders’ skills on eleven essential leadership priorities that SFUSD has determined are necessary for transformative school leadership through monthly full-day PD sessions and 1:1 leadership coaching. Leaders can clear their Clear Admin Services Credential through this program. This supervisor will work in the Educational Services Department and will report to the Director of TLEE. Essential Duties The duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to the job code/class and are not intended to be an inclusive or exhaustive list. Coach in and help to build the program, which will serve up to 25 principals and 25 APs in each cohort Participate in monthly professional development and bi-weekly coaching for 2 years (principals) and 2 years (APs) Hold responsibility for the effective implementation of the program components: professional development, coaching, and evaluation Collaborate with the director of TLEE and the other supervisors to design and lead the professional development Collaborate with the team on other leadership development efforts as needed Articulate a compelling vision for leadership development Design and execute leadership development curriculum and professional development Collaborate with a wide array of internal and external partners to coordinate and provide technical PD and coaching support Design, implement and regularly evaluate effectiveness of coaching The strongest candidates will have: At least four (4) years experience as a school leader Quantitative data that demonstrate achievement by African American and Latino students during the tenure of the school leader Extremely strong references from teachers/staff who worked in the school where the candidate was a leader Highly skilled in planning and facilitating adult professional learning Ability to work effectively in emotionally charged and difficult situations that may involve confidential or sensitive matters A strong and well-developed equity consciousness, with awareness of and facility talking about implicit bias, anti-racism, cultural hegemony, systemic oppression, and oppression/privilege Well-developed skills in designing and facilitating meaningful adult learning experiences Knowledge of San Francisco’s public schools/urban public schools and a passionate belief in SFUSD’s commitment to instructional leadership as a lever toward delivering on the SFUSD Graduate Profile Strong analytics and systems thinking necessary to interpret data to inform goals and strategy, as well as build infrastructure where none exists Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization A proven record of effectively planning, organizing and using resources to take action and achieve goals The ability to learn quickly and adapt as needed in a fast-paced environment Outstanding organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail A flexible, “can do” work ethic with a focus on identifying challenges and proactively working to find solutions while maintaining a bigger picture lens and focus on what can be delivered instead of what cannot be done Excellent data analysis skills and experience synthesizing data to drive action steps Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with senior level district staff and colleagues Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to clearly communicate complex, bureaucratic processes to a variety of audiences Ability to define and implement effective HR business practices Ability to work effectively in difficult situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters Strong computer skills particularly in GSuite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms) Minimum Qualifications Valid Administrative Services Credential One (1) year of school site or central office administrator experience, school site experience preferred What We Offer SFUSD offers a competitive salary of $163,526 - $174,809 annually commensurate with experience in a similar position.
