We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.As a Principal Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:Providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to Electrical EngineersOverseeing technical aspects of electrical designs for feasibility, viability, and function including facilitating concept, design, and test readiness reviewsManaging technical execution of a program or programs, emphasis on electrical oversightEvaluating uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designsGenerating robust designs considering ESD, EMI, and challenging thermal environmentsGuiding programs by providing formal peer review on other electrical engineer's workSupporting manufacturing, quality, and testing of designs from concept to deliverySupporting and leading the testing and validation of an electrical component or subsystemPerforming analysis of designs to ensure safe operation in meeting designated requirementsAssisting in establishing company engineering standards, training, and guidelinesProviding technical support to customersSupporting proposal/presentation preparation and business development activitiesMentoring and supporting more junior engineersAssisting in managing personnel, participating in candidate assessments, and conducting routine performance reviewsQualifications:B.S. or M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent fieldTypically possesses 8+ years technical experience plus 1 year of management experienceDetailed knowledge of military specifications and industry standards including IPCDemonstrated ability to manage and lead program technical executionSubstantial experience with mixed-signal circuit design utilizing discrete components and simulationAbility to provide creativity while solving complex problems without known solutionsStrong computer skills, including common office applications and engineering toolsAdvanced experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools such as Altium and PSPICE/LTSPICEExcellent communication and customer relationship skillsMust be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearanceSalary Range: $150,000-170,000The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experienceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.Compliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
