Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for a permanent position in Goldsboro, NC. This role requires providing competent clinical nursing care in line with professional standards within a hospital environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nurse Manager/Director to coordinate and deliver patient care.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Identify and meet personal learning needs; attend relevant education programs
Use patient education materials and assess readiness to learn
Identify patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed
Collaborate with the team to evaluate care and ensure continuity
Provide safe, competent care for patients with complex needs
Perform point-of-care testing and follow standards and policies
Organize and prioritize care; consult resources for complex issues
Set and achieve professional growth goals; support unit objectives
Communicate effectively and give feedback to coworkers
Promote safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care
Assess patient needs, anticipate discharge, and support family advocacy
Plan care collaboratively, using multidisciplinary resources and cultural awareness
Stay informed through journals and share ideas for practice improvement

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification
NRP certification
Nursing Diploma OR ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
One (1) year of nursing experience
