Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Flexible to days/evenings/nights & weekends Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN license from any state is acceptable Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within one year of hire - Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within one year of hire - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one year of hire - National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within six months of hire - Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within three months of hire - Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire Must-Have: - Ability to work independently in completing assignments - Strong professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments Description: The Emergency Room Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures. The role requires adherence to physician orders, standards of care, policies, and procedures. Support is provided to individuals of all ages and their families. The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, and nurse midwives. The environment is culturally rich and varies in elevation. This position serves a diverse community. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams of medical providers is essential.
